Manchester City Council
Government venue uses Kx Software to improve efficiency and services
Manchester Town Hall, is a venue with 17 meeting rooms which also handles enquiries for 2 additional satellite venues. The 3 venues are used for internal and external customers. It is the second most significant Victorian building in the country (Grade 1 Listed), was built in 1877, and at the time cost £1 million to build.
Jonathan Whittle of Manchester City Council was required to source an alternative software solution for the Venue, to replace a system that he felt was not straight forward in terms of catering, timetable and the overall structure of the product.
The change over to Kx Conferencing, highlighted an immediate benefit where users saved 20% more time with the easy to use functionality that Kx Conferencing offered.

Further timesaving benefits became clear after Jonathan installed SAP Finance, CRM and HR modules in which Kx was able to directly download information via an interface in to SAP, which saved employees handling the information twice.
When asked for feedback, Jonathan said:

“I found yesterday really helpful. It has given me a wider knowledge of the set up of Kx and therefore a greater understanding of how it works.
