Ashorne Hill
Kx is an excellent product that has really streamlined our business

Set in the Warwickshire countryside, Ashorne Hill Training and Conference Centre has 12 main meeting rooms, with 30 syndicate rooms and 120 bedrooms.
Having been a Kinetic client for a couple of years, Ashorne felt it was a good time to take the integration of all business operations a step further. They already had the Events, Sales and Marketing and Residential modules, but wanted to integrate Courses, EPOS and the key cards for the doors with Kx to create a simple and fast business process. The first step was to look at interfaces to Key Cards and EPOS systems. The reasons behind the integration of these products were the repetitive and time consuming nature of the tasks. The Key Card had to be set up on a separate computer and then that information transferred across to Kx. Equally, any charges at the bar had to be transferred to Kx in order to settle the final bill.
With the interfaces in place, we now have a system that allows us to record the details of the key card and bring through charges from our Epos system, all from one programme and in one step. Most recently, Ashorne have installed EFT, or Electronic Fund Transfer. This has replaced the slower PDQ machines for taking card payments from clients. The transactions operate over internet connection and behind the scenes so that the user interaction is minimal.
"Kx is an excellent product that has really streamlined our business” States Matthew Hayes, IT and Quality Manager “We no longer have to utilise several different machines and transfer information across between several systems, which makes for a faster and smoother operation. It also means there is less room for error. We are extremely satisfied with the whole integration process; it has made a big difference to us."

“University of Nebraska-Lincoln were kind enough to mention Kinetic Solutions and our support of their needs in organising the 2010 Special Olympics National Games, when they were recognised for “Outstanding Institutional Achievement Award” at the ACCED-I Conference in the US last week.”
