20th June 2011Awards success and accreditation for Kinetic client Well Met Conferencing
Fantastic news to share from our client who uses our conference management software Well Met Conferencing at Leeds Metropolitan University. They have become the first University in the UK to achieve GOLD Accredited in Meetings (AIM) certification from the Meetings Industry Association (MIA). They also swept the board at Leeds Hotels & Venues Association Awards last week winning 3 out of the five categories in which they were nominated.

2nd June 2011Team Kinetic Running for Mercy in Action
A ten strong team from Kinetic Solutions Ltd will be running in the Milton Keynes Half Marathon on 17th July to raise money for Mercy in Action. Various fundraising activities have already been undertaken by Kinetic Solutions including bake sales, book sales, wristband sales, and more events are planned for the very near future including sponsored swim and cycle challenges.

The University of Leicester has announced a £14m project to transform a Grade II Listed building into a residential conference venue. They use Kx conference management software to manage their already successful conference business.

4th April 2011University of Nebraska wins award
Kinetic Solutions worked with University of Nebraska-Lincoln on their software requirements for hosting the 2010 Special Olympics National Games. They were recognised for their efforts at the ACCED-I (Association of Collegiate Conference and Events Directors – International) conference by being awarded the “Outstanding Institutional Achievement Award” for their efforts with the games.

In an article recently by Chief Executive of Imago, Kay England, current trends indicate that more and more delegates are being given the responsibility for booking their own accommodation for conferences and events, as opposed to fully inclusive conference packages being offered by organisers. For our clients this could mean increased opportunities to upsell accommodation or pick up transient business from delegates attending conferences at other venues in the area.

24th March 2011Kx User Forum 2011!
Last week saw over 120 delegates from 50 of our UK clients come together at the Kx Annual User Forum in Manchester. Over two days it was wonderful to see so many of our clients face to face, participating in sessions, giving us feedback and making new contacts across the Kx network. We also had some visitors from Sweden join our event and network with other Kx clients from Conference Centres, Venues, Universities (Student and Commercial users) and Commercial Property Providers of Student Accommodation.
