SQL for beginners and Kxplorer
This workshop is aimed at giving you basic knowledge of SQL in order to help you get the most from your Kxplorer Extract Tool. The first day will concentrate on giving you the basic skills of SQL covering Microsoft’s database interface, the main database structures, how to link data and how to find the information you’re after. The second day will cover specific aspects of the Extract Tool itself, Kx data structures and show you how best to design and develop your own bespoke reports within the KxConferencing suite of products.
Areas that will be covered in the training are:
- An understanding as to where the information comes from
- A basic knowledge of SQL code writing
- Where/how to locate ‘tables’ and what this means to you the User
- Writing a bespoke report specific to your requirements*
- How to write new reports based on existing ones in Kx.
